The photograph must be in colour and taken against a plain white background.

It should be a clear close-up of the head and upper shoulders, with the face filling approximately 70–80% of the frame.

The image must be sharp, clean, and of high quality, free from shadows, ink marks, creases, or staple marks.

The applicant must face the camera directly.

Natural skin tones must be visible, with proper brightness and contrast.

The photograph must have been taken within the last six months.

Hats, caps, or other head coverings are not permitted.

Headgear worn for religious reasons may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, provided the face is fully visible. The chin, nose, eyes, eyebrows, and forehead must not be covered, and the shape of the face must be clearly identifiable.

Hair must be tucked behind the ears.

Scanned images and colour photocopies are not acceptable.
